STOP THROWING AWAY CUSTOMERS !
Have you ever seen this?
Of course you have. It's known as a 404 Error Page. It's a page that comes up if someone uses the wrong address when they're trying to visit a website.
What did you do when you saw it?
- Did you check the Address Bar to make sure you typed the URL correctly?
- Did you try again, maybe using .htm instead of .html?
- Or did you just give up, and click the "BACK" button and go to a different website?
Now think for a moment.
Have your potential customers ever seen this error page?
If they have, then you're losing them!
They won't come back!
They won't make the effort!
They've lost confidence in your website!
404 Page Found will help you !
You're saying, "That'll never happen to me. I've checked all my web pages, and they're all there.
But wait! Here's how it COULD happen:
WAY #1 ... A prospective customer might have seen your website mentioned on another site, or perhaps in a newspaper. Now he's going to type your URL into the Address Bar. But he makes a mistake, and puts .html instead of .htm -- he gets the 404 Error Page!
WAY #2 ... You use an affiliate program, such as ClickBank, and someone mis-types your URL in the link she puts on her website -- EVERYONE clicking on that link gets the 404 Error Page!

"Well, if I just keep an eye on my server logs, I can spot those mistakes, and take steps to correct them," you say.
Do you know how to find your server logs?
Have you ever looked at them?
The above sample is less than 1% of the information given in a typical server log for one day at one of my websites. Are you going to wade through this every day looking for 404 File Not Found errors?

Here's how 404 Page Found works
This amazing script compares the page name in your Address Bar with a list of the actual page names on your website. If a "similar" name is found, then it takes the user to the CORRECT PAGE !
Now I know, according to all the gurus, I'm not supposed to do this, but I'm going to temporarily take you off this page. I want you to see 404 Page Found in action ! ( I KNOW you'll come back, if only to see the next demonstration. )
I use the script on all of the websites that I design. One of these sites belongs to my good friend Ray, who has graciously given me permission to use it for my demonstration. His website has a page with the URL: http://www.glassrays.com/mirrors.shtml .
DEMO #1 ... Suppose the page name has the wrong extension: http://www.glassrays.com/mirrors.html .
Go ahead, click on the above link. ( I don't usually do this, but the page will open in a new window, so you're not actually going to be leaving this website. )
VOILA ! ... THE CORRECT PAGE !!!
Let's try another mistake.
DEMO #2 ... Suppose that the page name has been mis-spelled: http://www.glassrays.com/mirrers.shtml .
Click on the link.
VOILA ! ... THE CORRECT PAGE !!!
How about another?
DEMO #3 ... Here's an obviously-incorrect page name: http://www.glassrays.com/foobar.shtml .
Click on the link.
OOPS ! ...
404 Page Found can't find this page, because it's not even CLOSE to one of the real page names. But instead, there is a custom designed error page, instead of that dreadful default page that you're used to seeing.
What do I need to use 404 Page Found?
- The Perl language.
- A cgi-bin folder on your website.
- Ability to use .htaccess.
- A UNIX/LINUX server, not Microsoft IIS.
How much is this going to cost me?
Only $27. Not much, considering what it will cost when customers leave your website before seeing what you have to offer them.

But wait ! That's not all !
Here's where an unscrupulous salesman might say something like:
"If you order in the next 5 minutes, we'll also include ..."
I'm not going to go that route. The following feature will be included no matter WHEN you order 404 Page Found.
BONUS FEATURE
We thought you might like to know if you're getting a lot of "404 File Not Found" errors -- even if 404 Page Found manages to redirect the user to the CORRECT page. That way, if there's something you can do to prevent it, you can take steps to fix the problem.
The script WON'T send you an email every time there's an error. You wouldn't want that, since a lot of those errors are caused by search engine robots trying to reach a page they THINK you might have. On my websites, I sometimes get dozens of those errors in a day!
Instead, the script creates a text file logging the errors, which you can look at whenever you want. Here's an example:

Another opportunity to make money
Instead of a simple custom 404 error page like you just saw, why not use the page to sell something ... either your own product, or a product for which you are an affiliate?
